Spring is here! That means it’s time for spring cleaning. Do you have books piling up in corners? Stacked in piles on desks or on the floor? Overflowing from your bookshelves? Donate them – the Cornwall Library will happily take your book donations! “Recycle” books you’ll never read again and pick up others that you’ve always wanted to read – at bargain prices! Help our library keep a great collection of books and other materials and support a local independent bookseller. That’s a win-win-win for everyone!
Our annual book sale will be held in June, and we welcome donations of books, audio books, CD’s, and DVDs, new or used, and other materials. In particular this year, we are in need of children’s books. And, again, the proceeds from the sale go directly to stock the library shelves with new releases purchased from the Vermont Book Shop in downtown Middlebury.
Drop off your unwanted books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books (please no LP’s, textbooks, magazines or encyclopedias) at Cornwall Town Hall any time during regular hours (Tues-Fri, 9-5) before the sale. PLEASE make sure that your donated books are in good, resale condition – we cannot use items that have mold or mildew on them, or ones that are in really bad condition. If you have some of the latter, tear off the covers and drop them off at the Addison County Recycling Center in Middlebury.
