The people of Cornwall, UK, have a special day that they celebrate every year – 5th March St Piran’s Day. It started as a day off for miners, and celebrates St Piran who sailed from Ireland to the shores of Perranporth, Cornwall on a millstone. These days people see it as a day of pride to mark how wonderful it is to be Cornish! In this 2025 show presenter James Churchfield brought his breakfast show from Torpoint and another presenter, James Dundon travelled around West Cornwall to the places mentioned in the song Cornwall, My Home.
With help from Cy Tall and the Cornwall Historical society, our Town Clerk, Laura Fetterolf, recorded a greeting “From My Cornwall To Yours” for their special day.
If you would like to hear the whole show, please stop by the Town Clerk’s office and we’ll be happy to transfer the file to you — it’s too large a file to upload to our website!
